Aspergirls: Empowering Females with Asperger Syndrome Now in 12 languages! Gold Medal Winner Sexuality / Relationships Category 2010 IPPY Awards; Honorable Mention Women’s Issues Category 2010 Foreword Review Awards. Foreword by Liane Holliday Willey.
Girls with Asperger’s Syndrome are less frequently diagnosed than boys, and even once symptoms have been recognised, help is often not readily available. The image of coping well presented by AS females of any age can often mask difficulties, deficits, challenges, and loneliness.
This is a must-have handbook written by an Aspergirl for Aspergirls, young and old. Rudy Simone guides you through every aspect of both personal and professional life, from early recollections of blame, guilt, and savant skills, to friendships, romance and marriage. Employment, career, rituals and routines are also covered, along with depression, meltdowns and being misunderstood. Rudy identifies recurring struggles and areas where Aspergirls need validation, information and advice. As they recount their stories, anecdotes, and wisdom, she highlights how differences between males and females on the spectrum are mostly a matter of perception, rejecting negative views of Aspergirls and empowering them to lead happy and fulfilled lives. This book will be essential reading for females of any age diagnosed with AS, and those who think they might be on the spectrum. It will also be of interest to partners and loved ones of Aspergirls, and anybody interested either professionally or academically in Asperger’s Syndrome.
New books are always exciting, but only a certain few have staying power. Aspergirls:~ Empowering Females with Asperger Syndrome is here to stay.—Liane Holiday Willey
Released Dec 2018. Orsath, a YA Fantasy for you or your little Aspie. Buy the paperback on Amazon, get the Kindle free. Or visit the Books-n-Blogs page.
Stories of self-discovery and triumph over adversity are as old as humankind, but Orsath is a rarer and more truthful breed of hero than the muscled supermen of popular legend. A flawed and real champion for flawed and real people. – Jude Starling, author of Goldcord Asylum
My other newest book, May 2018!
Sex and the Single Aspie
Finally, an honest, candid view of “Aspergirls” in relationships! In the media, Aspies are often portrayed as almost robotic and completely disinterested in sex or any intimacy (even a kiss or hug). This, in my experience, is false. Artemisia, through her story of the good, bad, and ugly in relationships (both casual and serious ones) depicts the reality that Aspergirls are naïve when it comes to relationships and men’s intention; indeed, Aspies not only look younger-in general-than their actual age, but in many ways, they think and behave like younger, fairly unaffected girls, too. Predatory men can take advantage of inexperience and naivete, but Artemisia gives an easily accessible breakdown of tips and rules to keep safe and value yourself in relationships (and life!) Finishing this book left me feeling as if I’d lost a friend-I so loved Artemisia’s voice and essence of a “confidante”! But, this book inspired me to put all of Artemisia’s (aka Rudy Simone) books on my to-read list. For an entertaining, revealing and essential read for Aspergirls, feminists-anyone!-buy this book! - Amazon reader review

ASPERGER’S ON THE JOB: Must-Have Advice for People with Asperger’s or High Functioning Autism and their Employers, Educators and Advocates
Foreword by Temple Grandin
Winner of Foreword Review’s 2010 Book of the Year Gold Medal. Still the “Employment Bible” for people on the spectrum.
Approximately one in 88 people are on the autism spectrum. Most have a milder form known as Asperger Syndrome (AS). Although people with AS are usually highly intelligent and gifted it is thought that over 85% are without full-time employment. That is an outrageously high percentage. This book is a resource to help employers accommodate this growing population, and for this growing population to find and keep gainful employment. We will find out what our strengths are and how to use them. We will learn how to manage social and environmental difficulties. “AS on the Job” looks into all aspects of employment– because going to work isn’t just about work. It’s about what you wear, what you eat, what your environment looks like, what it feels like, how your boss behaves, how your coworkers treat you. There’s so much more to a job than what the tasks are. From a lack of fulfillment, sensory issues, ostracizing and bullying by coworkers and bosses, Rudy Simone presents very difficult challenges in a very positive light that will leave everyone enriched, enlightened and ready to work…together.
“Asperger’s on the Job” is a great resource for navigating the work place. I was really able to relate to it. The guides for handling social situations in the office will be extremely beneficial.” - Temple Grandin, author of Developing Talents: Careers for Individuals with High Functioning Autism and Aspergers
22 Things a Woman With Asperger Syndrome Wants Her Partner To KnowFrom the foreword by Tony Attwood:
In her inimitably warm, witty, and disarming style, Rudy Simone casts light on what you need to know about having a relationship with a woman on the spectrum. One of the most damaging stereotypes of autistic people is that they are uninterested in or incapable of intimacy, and Simone demolishes that stereotype while offering practical, down-to-Earth tips that will help you navigate the nuances of forging a lasting relationship with an ‘Aspergirl.’ Addressing everything from sex, to sensory issues, to emotional vulnerability, to giving and receiving criticism in a caring and safe way, Simone offers a helpful road map that will help you avoid potential pitfalls with the one you love and start building a life of closeness, passion, and honesty together. — Steve Silberman, author of Neurotribes
22 Things a Woman Must Know If She Loves a Man with Asperger’s Syndrome“There are many books that have been written about being in a relationship with a man with AS, but I have found none to be as insightful, accurate and understanding of both perspectives as this book by Rudy Simone. Each section of the book says it just the way it is; it is realistic, positive and unbiased.” — Maxine Aston, from the Foreword, author of The Other Half of Asperger Syndrome and Aspergers in Love
Reader Reviews: “I just wanted to write to you to thank you for your book “22 Things”. I received my copy yesterday and could not put it down. I read two-thirds of it in my lunch break and finished it on the train home. I have been married to an undiagnosed Aspie for years but also have two Aspie sons. Reading your book was like reading a description of my life! Every aspect was there in black and white…reading your book helped me to lose some of the guilt I have felt…Your book will help me to keep a level head and understand my “men”. I will carry it with my always - it will become my “bible”. Thank you again - I feel you have saved my life - I am on a support network for anyone affected by Asperger Syndrome and I have recommended your book to everyone!”
